Xaden

Xaden is a 2-year-old from Walcott, IA and he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. His mom felt a bump in his armpit when she was loading him in the car seat. She called the pediatrician, who ordered an ultrasound, x-ray and labs that showed no immediate answers. Then a referral was sent to a surgeon who wanted to see if the lump grew and it did, twice the size in a week. A biopsy showed cancer; Ewing's Sarcoma in his chest. He started chemotherapy and finished more than six cycles of it. He underwent surgery to remove the rest of the tumor and will undergo 14 cycles of chemo with the potential of radiation treatments as well.
